The vocals are acerbic\, bouncing between the literal and allegorical. The guitars are big\, the bass gets funky\, and the sax ties a melodic thread throughout. Hell\, there’s less ska than before\, but there’s still some ska—some upbeat and some dark. A lot of life has been lived since George W. Bush invaded Iraq and the band was a bunch of disgruntled teenagers drinking cheap beers in a smoke-filled basement and cranking out gritty ska-core tunes. But time doesn’t always have to be the enemy. They Almost Didn’t Make It. But they made it. Tap the keg.
