Mary Rodgers Menagerie is a Nashville-based trio blending jazz, blues, rock, R&B, and theatrical storytelling into an energetic, genre-bending live show. Led by multi-instrumentalist, composer, songwriter, and educator Mary Rodgers, the group pairs original music with humor, circus-inspired imagery, and expressive musicianship.
Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Mary moved to Nashville in 2015 and has performed with acclaimed artists including Ronnie Spector, JD McPherson, Dale Watson, The Legendary Shack Shakers, Hillbilly Casino, The Invaders, The Uptown Savages, The Dead Man’s Carnival, and many others.
The Mary Rodgers Menagerie features Mary Rodgers on vocals and piano, Andrew Spadafora on clarinet and tenor saxophone, and Herschel VanDyke on percussion. Together, they create an engaging performance that moves seamlessly between soulful grooves, swinging jazz, bluesy storytelling, and playful theatrical moments, making every show both musically compelling and genuinely entertaining.
